about the founder
Hector Laurel, Director / Founder
Hector Laurel founded Terminal Ave Studios in the fall of 2022, but the story starts earlier than that. Growing up in a Hispanic household in Wenatchee, Washington, he spent his teenage years skating and filming with friends on Terminal Ave, the street the studio is named after. Those early skate videos were the beginning of a lifelong pull toward the camera, and toward finding people worth paying attention to.
That instinct still drives the work today. Hector handles every stage of production personally, from first conversation to final delivery, bringing the same care to a 30-second brand spot as a four-minute documentary. Terminal Ave Studios is built around that range: campaigns and commercials for lifestyle brands, and short documentaries on the people and places worth slowing down for. Different pace, same standard.
